From her Boston roots to the heart of country and folk, Bebe Stockwell is carving out a unique sound that ties together the vibrancy of city life with the depth of storytelling. With her unique perspective and genre-blending style, she’s quickly making an impact in the modern music landscape.

Meet Bebe Stockwell

Born and raised in Boston with deep family connections in New Hampshire and Maine, Bebe Stockwell has always balanced the dual influences of city and country. Her musical journey began early, thanks to her father’s encouragement that she, her twin, and her younger sister learn piano and guitar. She found inspiration in her bluegrass-singing guitar teacher from the band Della Mae, setting the stage for her love of storytelling and heartfelt songwriting. Drawing inspiration from icons like Gillian Welch and Brandi Carlile, she began producing her signature sound- one that’s rich, raw, and emotionally compelling.

By 15, Bebe was already expanding her musical talents at the Berklee School of Music’s summer program, where she explored jazz, indie, and pop influences. Though initially set on pursuing college lacrosse, her passion for music led her to The Clive Davis Institute in NYC. There, she cultivated her sound, met influential mentors, and built a strong artistic identity that fuses Bostonian with an imaginative, narrative-driven approach to songwriting.

Bebe’s music is a testament to the power of storytelling. Her music is very personal yet universally relatable portraying warmth, honesty, and a touch of humor. Her videos on social media further show her creativity as they incorporate a technique she calls "Yarnmation", a unique blend of colorful and detailed animations that bring her stories to life.
