Mark Damboragian: Crafting Harmonies from Silence and Solitude

Mark Damboragian, an alumni of Fairfield University majoring in Marketing, is a hidden talent waiting to be discovered. For years, he concealed his musical abilities from the world, even keeping it a secret from his parents. His journey into music began when he broke up with his girlfriend and found solace in songwriting. It wasn't until he shared one of his compositions with his parents, initially without revealing it was him singing, that his true talents came to light. Since then, Mark has been steadily pursuing a career in music, teaching himself guitar and working on his songwriting and producing skills.

Before diving into the world of music, Mark was deeply passionate about film but transitioned to music due to his innate creativity and desire for a more hands-on creative outlet. Despite facing pressures to follow a traditional path, Mark has stood up for his passion, ultimately gaining acceptance from his family. He even had a taste of the big stage, participating in The Voice after being recruited through Instagram. While the show didn't lead to his big break, it introduced him to talented individuals and state-of-the-art equipment.

Mark's musical journey includes aspirations of collaborations with renowned artists like The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, and Ed Sheeran. His current favorites include Maggie Rogers and Bleachers. In 2022, he released an EP “Hello World” which had great success. His advice to fellow aspiring artists is to embrace vulnerability, recognize that no one cares more about your work than you do, and never let fear inhibit your creativity.
