TV Girl Ignites the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, Texas
TV Girl launched their 2023 tour with a bang at The Aztec Theatre in San Antonio, Texas and included rising artist Neggy Gemmy as an opener.
The ambiance crackled with excitement all evening as the psychedelic pop sensation TV Girl soaked up the eager anticipation of their impending performance.

Electro-pop artist, Neggy Gemmy was the first to take the stage, delivering a distinct sound that had the crowd cheering throughout her entire performance. Her stage charisma was captivating, and every bass drop held the audience in rapt attention.

TV Girl, led by Brad Petering on vocals, Jason Wyman on drums, Wyatt Harmon on keys, and Zoe Zeeman on bass, took the stage promptly at 9 p.m. This time, they were joined by two backup gospel singers, who lent their voices to TV Girl's latest album, "Grapes Upon the Vine," inspired by southern gospel music.

The set kicked off with "I'll Be Faithful" from the new album, setting the tone for the night.
Petering took a moment to discuss their recent album and what fans could expect from the rest of the set. He humorously acknowledged the mixed reactions to some tracks, quipping, "You don't need to pretend, you don't like it, we know." The band then delved into a series of tracks from "Grapes Upon the Vine" before treating the audience to fan favorites, deep cuts, and TikTok hits.
Midway through the set, TV Girl surprised the crowd by performing a new song for the first time, a cover of "Jimmy Mack" by Laura Nyro, aligning with the gospel and soul influences of their recent work.
As the night drew to a close, TV Girl couldn't leave without an encore. They returned to the stage to perform three more songs, including "Big Black Void," "Lovers Rock," and the unforgettable finale, "It Evaporates."
